Irene Ninno is an Italian concert pianist and composer with a passion for performance, education, and artistic collaboration. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance at the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory in Bari under the guidance of Prof. Pasquale Iannone and her Master’s Degree at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She later refined her skills at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris. Alongside her piano studies, Irene pursued training in Composition, Conducting, Chamber Music, and Musicology, working with esteemed mentors such as Pavel Gililov, Michel Béroff, Aldo Ciccolini, and Lilya Zilberstein.


Irene has performed extensively across Italy and Europe, appearing in prominent venues including Salle Cortot in Paris, St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. Her performances have been featured in festivals such as Piano City Milano, Naturalmente Pianoforte, and the Festival delle Nazioni. She has also appeared as a soloist with orchestras like the Suoni del Sud Orchestra and the Metropolitan Orchestra of Barcelona.


Beyond performance, Irene is deeply involved in composition and cultural projects. She has collaborated with theater companies, written musicological articles, and served as Artistic Director of the Kronos Piano Festival and the Ligature International Classical Music Festival.


As an educator, Irene has taught at various academies and conservatories, inspiring students of all levels. Many of her students have won prizes in international competitions, reflecting her dedication to fostering musical excellence.


Since January 2025, she has been a Lecturer at the Vienna Premier Music Academy (VPMA), where she mentors Highly Gifted musicians.
