Achille Dallabona 


Achille Dallabona is an internationally recognized Italian bassoonist, celebrated for his solo and orchestral performances. Over the past decade, he has performed under the direction of some of the most renowned conductors of our time, including Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano, Gianandrea Noseda, Marin Alsop, and Franz Welser-Möst.


He holds a Magister Diploma in Bassoon and a Master's degree in Chamber Music from the Conservatorio Superiore Nazionale di Musica di Trento, both earned with top honors. He also completed a Bassoon Diploma with distinction at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium in Innsbruck and pursued advanced studies with Richard Galler at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.


He has participated in numerous prestigious masterclasses with acclaimed bassoonists, including Sergio Azzolini, Matthias Rácz, and Dag Jensen, further honing his artistry. He is also a skilled linguist, fluent in Italian, German, English, and Spanish.


In addition to his musical accomplishments, Achille Dallabona is an innovator in reed-making. In 2021, he launched his own method, "Lucky Number 7," available in Italian, German, and English. He serves as a guest lecturer at the GeorgRieger Bassoon Reeds Academy and collaborates with Georg Rieger GmbH and TuttiFagotti GmbH.


Achille performs on an original Heckel bassoon from the prestigious 13000 series, showcasing his exceptional skill and artistry in every performance.


Since January 2025, he has been a Lecturer at the Vienna Premier Music Academy (VPMA), where he mentors Highly Gifted musicians.
